This is a blog about my journey into aquaponics and other self-sufficiency ideas. Aquaponics is the merger of aquaculture (farming with fish) and hydroponics (farming plants without soil). Since I live on a very small piece of land in a small suburb, space comes at a premium. I chose aquaponics because you can get 2 crops off the same piece of land. I guess you could say I am a suburban farmer.
